Members are elected from six multi-member constituencies which correspond to the six districts of Cyprus, with the number of seats allocated according to the area’s population. Elections are held using open list proportional representation. Members serve five-year terms.
Cyprus has a population of around 1.4 million and 569,182 registered voters. In the 2026 election, voter turnout was 66.4%.
